MAGNIFICIENT “PABLO GONZALEZ GARZA” PRESENTATION SPANISH NAVAJA FOLDING BOWIE KNIFE, c. 1916, 20” KNIFE (37” open), 17” double clip fullered bright mirror polished blade, ¼” thick stock, bright mirror polish (appears plated), fullered both sides, pronounced false edge clip, etched “POR J. OLIVA 12-25-1916” (Christmas present) on the back and “RECUERDO AL G. GRAL. DE DIVISION PABLO GONZALEZ” on the other. Elaborate steel bolsters, engraved florals, Mexican Eagle with snake, curved similar pommel, alternating ribs, engraved & plain, Translucent green horn scales, steel liners. Elaborate front top lock. In addition, an elaborate framed (8” x15” oval wood gold gilded) photo of General Pablo Gonzalez, standing in front of his magnificent black horse, captioned “EL SR. GRAI, D. DIVISION PABLO GONZALEZ JEFE, DEL CHERPO DE E JERCITO-DE-ORIETE FN-SU- RECIDENCIA EN MEXICO. D.F. ENERO 1, 1916.” Also, a Wikipedia report, with fantastic story, of exploits, one of Mexico’s top Generals during the Mexican Revolution, main organizer of the assassination of Emiliano Zapata. He commanded one of the largest forces in the Revolution and came out with the unique honor of having lost every battle in which he was engaged. He was involved in the insurrection again Diaz in 1911, also in 1912 against Orozco, then Huerta. He ran for the Presidency of Mexico, withdrew under pressure and went into exile in the U.S. Returning to Mexico he died in 1950 in Monterrey. MINT

For layaway, all knives and/or collectibles must be purchased, in full, within 90 days. Thereafter, we will put the knife back up for sale. Our gallery offers a few payment plan options including KLARNA (US only at this time). If you wish to pay using Zelle, mailing a check or sending a wire transfer, more information is available during check out. If you wish to use your credit card, there is a 4% fee for using a credit card.

Your billing address & shipping address must match and we will not ship to any other address other than your billing address. All credit card orders (online & phone) will be held for review before being approved. We may be obligated to call you directly and request a copy of your I.D. in order to approve your credit card charge.

Shipping & Returns

All packages are shipped via FedEx, Insured w/ Signature Required Upon Delivery; International FedEx shipments must be discussed prior to shipping.

Please contact us within three days of receipt for a refund of the cost of the knife: studio@farinafinearts.com. Shipping and insurance charges are not refundable. You are required to ship the knife back using FedEx and it must be fully insured. Returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee and processing fees. All items must be returned in the same exact condition as it was received. Most custom knives are guaranteed by the makers we represent and most factory knives carry the manufacturer's warranty. We do not guarantee the durability of natural handle materials (such as bone, wood, pearl, etc...) or the reaction of any material to water and air (rust, oxidation, etc.) If an item needs to be returned due to our error, we may offer a full refund at our discretion. Any condition visible in our product pictures is considered to be disclosed and does not constitute an error or omission on our part.
