Bob Loveless “Delaware Maid” Deer Hunter
An early fixed-blade Deer Hunter by legendary knifemaker R. W. “Bob” Loveless, made during his Clayton, Delaware period. The knife features a broad, hand-ground drop-point blade marked “Hand Made by R.W. Loveless, Clayton, Del.”
Its deeply contoured stacked leather handle incorporates pronounced finger grooves, contrasting red, black and golden spacer layers, a brass guard and a polished metal pommel secured by a single pin. The blade displays honest age and patina, while the original hand-stitched leather sheath shows corresponding field wear. A distinctive and historically significant example from an early chapter of Loveless’s career.
Included - note from Bob Loveless dating knife from 1956 - 1957.
Blade length 4'. Overall length 9"
