About Phill Hartsfield:
"I have been a fulltime knifemaker since 1977. The metal of my blades is high speed tool steel and during the tempering they are stress relieved three times to bring them to the ultimate in strength with a Rc 60-61. I hand grind and strop each blade to a razor edge - that lasts. Since my blades are designed for use, not display, I do not mirror polish, rather my blades are bead blasted to produce a scratch resistant, non-reflective satin finish. Each handle is shaped in harmony with the hand, no matter how you hold it, it fits. All my designs are full tang." Phill passed in 2010.
