Wade & Butcher, Sheffield Published Sheffield Exhibition Knife "THE TEXAS SPORTSMAN KNIFE." BOWIE

Measures: 8", 3 7/8' flat ground severe clip blade, with an extensively fluted and file worked spine, blade marked THE TEXAS SPORTSMAN KNIFE & "WADE & BUTCHER, SHEFFIELD."
Guardless, with a nickel silver ferrule about long, with nickel silver bar shield. Sambar stag scales, well matched, fastened by four (4) pins, no cracks or chips. Folding fluted spiral corkscrew, & triangular leather punch. Slide out tools, folding thumb lancet, a long pricker and a pair of tweezers. Original tube black leather sheath, beaded nickel silver throat and scalloped nickel silver tip. This knife is pictured on p.233 of 'SHEFFIELD EXHIBITION KNIVES.' The dimensions and the slide outs are different from the book description. This knife is an inch shorter than the one described in the book, and this one has three side outs, rather than just one as described in the book. This is the knife in the book, photo of the stag proves it. (And-stag don't lie!). A beautiful very rare Sheffield Exhibition Knife.

Shipping and insurance charges are not refundable. You are required to ship the knife back using FedEx and it must be fully insured. Returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee and processing fees. All items must be returned in the same exact condition as it was received. Most custom knives are guaranteed by the makers we represent and most factory knives carry the manufacturer's warranty. We do not guarantee the durability of natural handle materials (such as bone, wood, pearl, etc...) or the reaction of any material to water and air (rust, oxidation, etc.) If an item needs to be returned due to our error, we may offer a full refund at our discretion. Any condition visible in our product pictures is considered to be disclosed and does not constitute an error or omission on our part.
