Explanation of engraving: A 14th century Samurai on his way to a dance festival meets a beautiful woman. As the pathway was wet he offered to carry the woman on his back to protect her kimono from getting damaged. When he stopped for a rest the samurai noticed her reflection in a dish of water. She was a demon in disguise trying to take his sacred sword in order to overthrow the government. The other side shows the Samurai fighting the demon.
